Valley residents heading to state capitol en masse to have their voices heard
Over 1,500 people from the Valley are getting ready to head to the state capitol Thursday to voice their concerns.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Over 1,500 people from the Valley are getting ready to head to the state capitol Thursday to voice their concerns. It's all part of an event called Equity on the Mall.

They want to voice their concerns a few different things, including the need for better health care, education, and housing for communities here in the Valley.

The reason-- they said the Valley has historically been overlooked when it comes to funding and resources. This gives community leaders, residents, and elected officials a chance to work with government agencies at local, state, and federal levels.

Last year over 70 community organizations lead and participated in the event last year. This is a big event for folks going to the capitol and it goes from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
