In light of this week's tragedy, it could not have come at a better time. Friday morning as students entered campus they were greeted by positive messages. Students held signs reading, smile 24-7, be kind and be yourself.

Leadership student, Ashley Perez, said, "Some people may not feel wanted and with that it just springs their confidence up."

It's all part of the kindness project, an effort by leadership students in Misses Frye's class, to spread love and ease worries.

"Everyone can make a difference and small things make a big change," Frye said. "They may have reservations about our concerns about if their students are safe at school and drive up and see these young people energetically waving positive messages, you think, yeah, this a good place to be. This is maybe more than just a ripple, we may have been instrumental in causing a wave of kindness."

Frye says they plan on waving signs once a week, with the hope of changing the world one smile at a time.
