KINGSBURG, Calif. (KFSN) -- A suspected drunk driver crashed into a house and injured herself and an elderly man.

She drove her car about a quarter mile through a vineyard and right into the man's bedroom at about 3 a.m.

CHP officers say she was going pretty fast when she veered off the road and into the vineyard, before finally crashing into the room where the 80-year-old man was asleep.

"He got a rude awakening, flying debris from the window and the debris from the inside of the house hitting him while he was still in bed so he has some facial lacerations. He's going to be okay. She was transported to the hospital with major injuries," said Jacobs.

CHP says the woman will be under arrest for DUI at the hospital.
