4 people killed in private plane crash in Tuolumne County
According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department, a small private plane has crashed east of Columbia Airport killing all four people on board.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY (KFSN) -- According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department, four people have reportedly died after a small plane crash just east of the Columbia Airport near Sonora.

The Sheriff's Office said the twin-engine Cessna 310 was coming in for a landing at Columbia Airport. They said it looks like plane made a hard landing veering of to the left where it caught on fire.

The cause of the crash is now under investigation and the identities of the victims have not been released.

The FAA and the NTSB are expected to take over.
