VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A pest known to carry a disease deadly to citrus has been found in a Visalia neighborhood.

An Asian citrus psyllid was found on a trap near Howard Court and Tommy Street in Southeast Visalia. The psyllids can carry huanglongbing, which destroys citrus trees.

More traps will now be set in a mile radius of the home. The area will also be treated after a public meeting is held by the California Department of Food and Agriculture.
