Authorities look for suspect in Tulare County homicide

The Tulare County Sheriff's Office said 34-year-old Jose Guadalupe Zavala-Andrade was found dead outside the a home, and they are now searching for the suspect.

The Sheriff's office said on Monday they responded to a report of an unresponsive man on Kilroy Road near Avenue 146 in the town of Poplar -- west of Porterville. Deputies arrived to find 34-year-old Jose Guadalupe Zavala-Andrade dead outside of a home. While authorities have not said how Zavala-Andrade died, they did say he had obvious signs of trauma.

Deputies said an investigation led them to a home on Road 191 near Avenue 146 -- the next street over from where Zavala-Andrade's body was found. While serving a search warrant on the home, investigators said they additional evidence linking the suspect, 41-year-old Ulises Moreno, to the crime.

The Sheriff's office is now looking for Moreno. They are asking anyone with any information on the crime, or crime or the whereabouts of Ulises Moreno to contact them at 559-733-6218 or 1-800-808-0488.
