6-year-old among several injured in crash near Caruthers
They say one person driving down Nebraska failed to stop a stop sign and that's when that car collided head-on with another car traveling down Elm.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Several people are in the hospital with major injuries, including a 6-year-old, after a high-speed crash near Caruthers.

The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened on Elm and Nebraska Avenues.

They say one person driving down Nebraska failed to stop a stop sign and that's when that car collided head-on with another car traveling down Elm.

Officers say several of them were not wearing seat belts.

"Several people were ejected out of their vehicles two people were life-flighted two separate flights," Sgt. Ed Jacobs with the CHP said. "Several others were taken by ambulance. They've all gone to CRMC. We have major injuries all the way around."

Officers did not say whether drugs or alcohol were involved. That is still under investigation.
