2 sought in Fresno jewelry theft, pepper spraying

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are looking for two people suspected of using pepper spray on an employee at Fashion Fair Mall before making off with a tray of jewelry.

Surveillance camera images show the couple standing at the counter at Zee Jewelers kiosk in April. Police say they requested to look at several pieces of jewelry, which the worker brought out on a tray.

That's when investigators say the female suspect suddenly pepper-sprayed the employee in the face. At the same time, the man grabbed the tray and both ran out through the northeast side of the mall. The exact amount of jewelry stolen isn't known.
