FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Merced County sheriff's deputies say they have shut down a cartel-like drug operation.
They served three search warrants over the last few days and seized more than 400 pounds of finished marijuana, along with cocaine, crystal meth and two handguns. It all has an estimated street value of more than $1 million.
Deputies also rescued several neglected dogs with chain collars embedded in their necks at one of the drug houses. Eight suspects were arrested.
