Evacuations lifted after Los Banos gas leak is repaired

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Residents in Los Banos have been able to return home after a gas leak triggered a two-hour evacuation on Wednesday.

Police say an independent construction crew was working near L and 4th streets just before 9 a.m. They were trying to replace a water line, when they hit a two-inch PG&E gas line.

Residents in the area were forced from their homes until the problem was fixed at about 11 a.m.
