Flex Alert issued for California; residents urged to conserve energy

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Independent System Operator has issued a statewide Flex Alert for Tuesday and Wednesday. Residents are being urged to reduce energy use between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m.

A Flex Alert is issued to help prevent blackouts from occurring.

Many Valley cities are expected to see triple-digit temperatures this week.
