1 dead, 8 injured in Highway 152 crash

FRESNO, Calif. -- One young man is dead and eight other people are injured after crash involving three vehicles.

It happened on Highway 152 near Highway 33 Friday afternoon. CHP officers say a man driving a Ford F-150 lost control and crossed the median into oncoming traffic. His truck slammed into a Toyota Highlander with six people inside -- and then struck a Ford F-350.

The 24 year old driver of the SUV died at the scene. All five passengers were all taken to area hospitals. The drivers of both trucks were also taken to the hospital.

Officers are still investigating what caused the crash, but they do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
