Fire erupts in Los Padres National Forest

Ventura County firefighters were battling a 200-acre brush fire near the 22000 block of Maricopa Highway in the Los Padres National Forest Sunday afternoon.

The blaze, dubbed the "Chorro Fire," was reported at 1:20 p.m., just north of Ojai.

No structures were threatened. Ventura County firefighters and the U.S. Forest Service were working to contain the fire.
