Cascadel Woods evacuation order to be lifted at 9 p.m.; Willow Fire now 60% contained

Evacuation order for the Cascadel Woods area will be lifted for residents only at 9 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Madera County Sheriff's Office.

A road closure will remain on Cascadel Drive and Road 233. Cascadel Woods residents will have to show proof of residency to be allowed back in the area.

Residents of Cascadel Woods were forced to leave their homes Friday after the Willow Fire continued to threaten hundreds of structures.

All other evacuation orders will remain in place.

The Willow Fire is now over 5,600 acres and 60% contained.
