Reedley woman shot in the eye in apparent road rage incident identified

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The identity of the pregnant woman who was shot in the eye in an apparent road rage incident in Fresno County has been released. Family members identify the 18-year-old victim as Ma Delacruz Arciga from Reedley.

Arciga remains hospitalized in critical, but stable condition. Her unborn baby is also alive. Arciga was shot in the eye near Floral and Englehart on Sunday night. Investigators say she was in the passenger seat with her husband driving. They were headed home from a shopping trip in Dinuba when a shot was fired from a passing car. The SUV the suspect was in is described as a light colored Chevy Tahoe, Suburban, or GMC Yukon.
