Report: Fresno drivers spent 23 hours stuck in traffic in 2014

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A new report released by the Texas A&M Transportation Institute shows Fresno drivers waste almost a full day every year stuck in traffic. The study found people spent 23 hours waiting in rush hour in 2014, costing people about $495 a year from lost time and wasted gas.

Fresno ranked number 83 out of 471 cities for time spent stuck in traffic. Washington, D.C. topped the list with people spending 82 hours a year battling traffic, and Los Angeles came in second at 80 hours. Two other California cities made out the top five: San Francisco and San Jose.
