Fresno State students warned of tuition scam

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno State is warning students about a phone scam. The university says some students have received phone calls informing them they owe tuition and will be dropped from classes if it is not paid.

Students who receive a phone call requesting tuition payments over the phone should not provide any personal information. If you owe tuition, you will be notified via email from a fresnostate.edu email address.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Fresno State Police Department at (559) 278-8400.
