Ben Fire burns 630 acres in Mariposa County

MARIPOSA COUNTY (KFSN) -- According to Cal Fire, Containment has increased to 40-percent on a wildfire burning in Mariposa County.

Cal Fire said 630 acres have burned near Ben Hur and Silver Bar Roads.

Ben Hur Road is closed and Buckeye Road is also closed, however the Quick Ranch entrance is now open to residents.

At this point it is not threatening any structures and there are no evacuations in place.

The cause of this fire is under investigation.
