FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Orville Fleming worked for Cal Fire for 24 years including some time here locally. But Cal Fire officials were quick to respond to allegations that their employees engage in any type of behavior Fleming is accused of.

Investigators are looking into allegations that 26-year-old Sarah Douglas was blackmailing her alleged murderer Orville Fleming, 55. Fleming's estranged wife told us Monday Douglas was a prostitute. And claims a sex tape involving Douglas her alleged killer and other Cal Fire fighters from Ione Fire Academy may be the reason Orville Fleming killed Douglas.

"You know right now these are unfounded allegations but they are very serious allegations. Once it's complete, the facts of the sheriff's investigation confirms these allegations we will be prepared to take any necessary action," said Cal Fire spokesperson Daniel Berlant.

Berlant tells us the allegations of prostitute activity is the first accusation of this nature against Cal Fire employees in Ione.

"That type of behavior is not tolerated in our department and we will take the necessary actions should it be true," said Berlant.

While the allegations shed light on a possible motive it doesn't change the fact that Douglas was stabbed and killed and the man she lived with is the main suspect.

"We have information yes to believe that he is still alive and still on the run whether he's still in this area we're not quite sure yet," Sacramento County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Lisa Bowman.

Investigators say Douglas and Fleming met on MyRedBook.com, an escort service website. Sacramento County Sheriff's Officers told us just earlier today they believe Fleming might be getting help from other escorts through the website or friends to remain on the run.

"If we find somebody has been harboring him or assisting him and they do not come forward we will put that information to the district attorney's office and request charges be filed against that person for harboring a fugitive," said Bowman.

Sacramento County Sheriff's officers tell us they're getting leads from as far away as Oregon of possible sightings. But nothing is coming u
