Car hits, drags woman in Northwest Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is recovering after getting flipped over a car and dragged off a sidewalk Wednesday in Northwest Fresno.

Fresno police officers say the woman is lucky to be alive after she was struck by a car that sped out of a car wash at Shaw and Brawley avenues. Investigators believe the driver may have hit the gas pedal instead of her brake. The woman who was hit has serious injuries on her arm but is going to be OK.

The driver was fully cooperative, and at this point, police believe it was an accident.
