Crash in Yosemite Lakes area leaves elderly man dead
Authorities are investigating a deadly crash in Madera County.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are investigating a deadly crash in Madera County. The California Highway Patrol says an elderly driver lost control on Raymond Road near Road 416 in the Yosemite Lakes area just after noon Saturday.

The man's SUV flipped over and went through a barbed wire fence. Witnesses tried to help the victim, but he died at the scene. His name has not been released.

Officers say the man was not wearing a seat belt at the time. He also had medical problems, so the coroner's office will try to determine if that played a role in the crash.
