CHP investigating hit and run in Winton that leaves a pedestrian dead

WINTON, Calif. (KFSN) -- A pedestrian is dead after a hit and run at Winton Way and Santa Fe Drive in Winton, according to Merced CHP.

Merced County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene and performed CPR on the victim but was unable to save them. The victim died at the scene.

The only description of the suspect's vehicle is that it was a pickup truck.
