OAKHURST, Calif. -- A Coarsegold woman was eager to find the man who found her lost wedding ring in an Oakhurst store parking lot. She said he turned panic into relief.

Six-month old twins Charlotte and Stella are beyond cute when they're happy but our diapered duo can also offer distractions for their 25-year old mother Katie Smith. Smith felt like crying too when she discovered her wedding ring was missing.

She was buying groceries at the Vons store in Oakhurst. Smith said, "I grab a cart and then I just put the car seats in the cart and I didn't even know that it fell off."

Two hours later she started driving out of the parking lot when she noticed a note on her windshield. It said "I found a ring by your car. If it's yours you can get it from a Vons employee with description."

Katie explained, "I just started panicking because I don't know. You don't think someone will turn in an expensive ring."

But her $10,000 ring featuring several diamonds was there inside the manager's office. A man identified by the store as Bradley Pence is now Katie's hero. "He is and I hope more people can be like that."

Smith wants to meet him, thank him and even offer a reward. Katie said, "A new ring wouldn't work because it has a lot of sentimental value from our memories like when we got married and had our girls."

The store manager said Pence just wanted Smith to know there are still honest people in the world.
