Community helps Visalia Cub Scout camp hit by thieves

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Earlier this week, a Cub Scout camp in Visalia found out four of their large tents were stolen. On Wednesday, they said they had received enough generous donations to cover the cost of replacements.

Camp organizers at Mooney Grove Park say four of their 10 large tents were stolen after being set up Sunday night. The tents were to provide shade for 180 kids.

The camp's director tells Action News a number of people have dropped by the camp with cash donations. She thanks everyone for the outpouring of support and says any additional donations will go toward items used at the camp.
