Merced County correctional officer accused of inappropriate conduct with 3 women on 1 day

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Merced Police said 42-year-old Greg Rich of Atwater has been placed on paid administrative leave after he was accused of inappropriate conduct with three different women on a single day.

Authorities said the allegations of inappropriate misconduct surfaced in late January after administrators at John Latorraca Correctional Center were notified of the issue by concerned prisoners. The allegations involved a 21-year-old woman who was in custody pending a trial, a 29-year-old correctional officer and a 43-year-old female contract employee.

Rich will be facing three counts of sexual battery and one felony assault charge.
