Crash near Dos Palos kills woman, injures teen

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is dead and a teenager injured after a crash near Dos Palos. It happened at the intersection of Merrill and Hudson avenues Friday evening.

California Highway Patrol officers say a 33-year-old man was approaching a stop sign, but his foot may have slipped off the brake. His Chevrolet truck collided with a Hyundai Sonata.

The 39-year-old Los Banos woman driving the car was killed, and a 13-year-old Los Banos boy in the passenger seat suffered major injuries. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment. Their names have not been released.

The Kerman man driving the truck was not hurt.
