CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A flooding problem at a Clovis school has been fixed. The school district says it was caused by a district employee who hit a fire hydrant.

The incident happened Monday morning at Century Elementary School on Sunnyside Avenue near Alluvial Avenue, causing a big geyser. A day care program was in session at the school, but the accident did not affect any of the children's activities.

It took city crews some time to shut off the water. Due to recent changes, they had a tough time figuring out which water line the hydrant was connected to and had to shut down water to the entire block. The water is now back on.
