El Portal Fire burns 4,689 acres

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Extra resources are being released from the El Portal Fire this weekend.

The key numbers have stayed the same since Saturday at 4,689 acres burned and 89 percent containment.

Most of the burn area is on U.S. Forest Service property, and fewer than 11,000 acres have burned inside Yosemite National Park.

Two homes were destroyed in Foresta when the fire broke out last Saturday.
