Escaped OC inmate speaks out about run
Clovis West High School graduate Hossein Nayeri escaped from an Orange County jail in January and said, in an interview, that he's a nice guy who never meant to harm anyone during his eight days on the run. Nayeri was in custody on kidnapping and torture charges.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A former Clovis West student who escaped from an Orange County jail now says he's a nice guy and never meant to harm anyone during his eight days on the run.

Hossein Nayeri is the suspected mastermind of the three-man escape, but he told the Orange County Register in a jailhouse interview that being a fugitive was more stressful than liberating. Nayeri was in custody on kidnapping and torture charges, but also said he's not the villain he's been made out to be.

Nayeri and two fellow inmates escaped from the jail in Santa Ana on January 22. One of the men turned himself in before he and the third inmate were caught in San Francisco.
