FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A family was displaced Sunday after a fire destroyed a duplex in Southeast Fresno.

The flames broke out early Sunday morning near Kings Canyon And Willow.

A roof on the ground is all that's left of one home.

Firefighters say that home was empty and nobody in the other unit got hurt.

They kept the flames from spreading to duplexes right next door, but the damage could approach half-a-million dollars.

It's too early to know what caused the fire.
