Father and son slashed with knife in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police are searching for the suspect who attacked a father and son with a knife early Saturday morning. It happened just after midnight near Poplar and Olive avenues.

Investigators say several family members were sitting in front of the home when someone walked up and slashed a teenage boy across his face. His father then ran after the suspect and was slashed in the hand. Officers say the attacker also fired a gun as he left the area, but no one was struck.

Both victims are now recovering. Detectives say there is no clear motive for the crime.
