Fire briefly threatens structures near Coarsegold
A fire that was threatening structures near Coarsegold is now contained.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A fire that was threatening structures near Coarsegold is now contained. The flames broke out around 4 p.m. Saturday near Highway 41 and Serpa Canyon Road.

Officials say the fire burned about three acres and was threatening two structures. Crews quickly got it under control, and no buildings were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Cal Fire officials say they also contained a 52-acre fire in Catheys Valley that started around 1:45 p.m.
