FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno firefighter is now charged in a sex assault case that led to his arrest back in December. Jeffrey Sanchez, 36, is accused of raping a 19-year-old girl he met at a Clovis bar. The teen told Fresno County investigators she thought Sanchez may have given her a spiked drink before the attack.

The woman said she went out to a bar with friends where she met a group of men then went to Sanchez's home in Southeast Fresno. Deputies say the group stayed at the house drinking alcohol and at some point, Sanchez took his accuser to his room and attacked her. He's scheduled to enter a plea when he returns to court on Friday.
