FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man was arrested and booked into jail after leading California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase and then crashing his car in Central Fresno.
Officers say they spotted the car going over 100 mph in the westbound lanes of Highway 180 around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. They say the driver tried to get off the freeway onto Fulton Street and lost control. The car launched across the off-ramp and another on-ramp, before falling down an embankment near Belmont Street, according to the CHP.
The driver was checked out at the hospital. It is not clear what charges he is facing. His name has not been released.
