FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno police officer suffered a minor injury Friday in a collision with another driver in the Tower District.

That crash happened at Olive and Palm Avenues Friday morning. Police say a woman driving a small Ford truck made a left turn in front of the patrol car. The officer tried to avoid her but his car got clipped near the rear of the vehicle.

That sent the patrol car crashing into the intersection control box for the traffic lights. The officer suffered a knee injury but no one else was hurt.
