Fresno purse snatcher makes off with $6K in cash and property

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are looking for a woman suspected in a purse snatching at a Southeast Fresno grocery store.

It happened on Tuesday, May 19th. Store surveillance video shows the suspect stalking the victim at the "Vallarta Supermarket" on Butler and Chestnut. Then, police say the suspect stole the victim's purse from her shopping cart and walked out of the store.

The victim says she lost nearly $6 thousand in cash and personal property.

The suspect is described as a woman who is between 50 to 60 years old and 4' 10" tall.
