FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police say several residents helped take down a robbery suspect. Officers arrested Jose Usied, 35, on Friday afternoon.
Usied is accused of stealing candy, juice and other items from the Arco mini-mart on McKinley Avenue near Fresno Street in Central Fresno. Authorities say he threatened the clerk with a box cutter before running from the scene.
But the clerk and a witness chased after the suspect. Other residents then came out of surrounding businesses and helped take him to the ground. The good Samaritans held him there until police arrived.
