A former Fresno Unified janitor has been arrested after several students at Norseman Elementary School say he touched them inappropriately.

Benjamin Wong quit his job after the allegations back in July. That's when action news first brought you details of the investigation. Wong is accused of touching several 8 year old girls inappropriately. When he was arrested recently, police say he didn't have much to say.

Those who live on the same block, describe Wong as a man who seemed to be a great neighbor and father who got along with everyone. One neighbor called his arrest a terrible surprise. "They would just play with the kids outside. They would give the dogs a bath outside and they would just be outside relaxing, and very friendly with the neighbors. "

According to a search warrant, the alleged victims, are all the same age and have complained about Wong grabbing their buttocks or stroking their hair. There have been repeated complaints of a similar nature by multiple children over the course of a couple years.

Fresno Police Lt. Jeff Motoyasu says detectives went to Norsemen Elementary to talk with the students about their claims. "It was then determined that Benjamin Wong had annoyed children, as well, at school starting sometime in 13, 2013 until may of 2015."

School officials say Wong's role as a janitor would give him no reason to touch or hold any of the students. Court documents show the suspect was interviewed in June, and admitted to intentionally slapping 8 year old girls on their buttocks and touching their hair. When the detectives asked him if he was gratified by this he said no and smiled.

The school district issued a statement saying the allegations are extremely upsetting.

Wong is also accused of taking pictures of the students and cleaning a girls bathroom when students were in it. He is facing 6 misdemeanor counts of annoying or molesting a child.
