Fresno widow needs help finding her husband's killer
The wife of a murdered Fresno man is pleading with the public to help find her husband's killer.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Six months to the day Joseph Baeza was pronounced brain dead -- his wife and kids gathered on the street where he was shot and left to die. Veronica Baeza is begging for help finding her husband's killer.

"If you know something, can you please come forward? I beg of you as a mother, as a wife, come forward. It can be anonymous," said Veronica. "Any little details you guys can remember from that night. Or it don't even have to be from that night. If you overheard somebody talk about what they did come forward."

If her emotional plea isn't enough -- Veronica is offering a $3,000 reward to anyone who leads investigators to the person who killed Baeza. He was shot in the head while working on his broken down car in Central Fresno the night of September first.

"He was my husband of 16 years," said Veronica. "I owe it to my children, I owe it to myself, I owe it to him to get this justice."

Veronica is working with police and victim's advocacy groups, along with her church to reach out to other victims and their families. She's beginning a group called HALOS -- Helping All Life of Suffering. She says she won't rest until there is justice for her husband's murder.
