Fresno winter water schedule starts early

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- New watering restrictions take effect Sunday in the city of Fresno.

The winter watering schedule is starting one month earlier than usual. Customers can only use outdoor irrigation water one day a week.

It's Saturday for odd addresses and Sunday for even addresses.

Officials say it's part of the effort to make sure the city hits the 28-percent reduction mandated by the state.
