Fresno woman dies from injures after being clipped by an Amtrak train
A woman clipped by an Amtrak train near Clinton and Maroa in Central Fresno has died.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman clipped by an Amtrak train near Clinton and Maroa has died. It happened at about 12:30 p.m. near Fresno City College.

Witnesses told police the 58-year-old woman was trying to cross the tracks, but she was walking with a cane and not moving fast enough. The train clipped the woman and knocked her to the ground.

Investigators say the woman suffered a fractured forearm, a broken leg and internal injuries. The woman was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where she died from her injuries.
