Hanford PD seeks woman accused of robbing 76-year-old man at knifepoint

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities in Hanford are asking for the public's help in locating a woman accused of threatening and robbing a 76-year-old man at knifepoint on Tuesday.

The victim told Hanford police that Christina Garcia, 34, is a homeless woman whom he occasionally helps by providing her with a warm place to sleep. He said the suspect came to his home near Ivy and Harris streets, cut the phone lines, threatened him with a knife and demanded money. The victim handed over $900, and Garcia took off on a red bike, according to police.

Garcia is described as being 5'6" tall, 220 pounds, with hair that is currently dyed red. She was last seen wearing a black sweater and blue jeans.
