Highway crash near Corcoran leaves woman dead

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman was killed following a traffic collision near Corcoran.

The California Highway Patrol says a man was driving his mother when he failed to stop at a stop sign. A truck driver driving southbound on the highway tried hitting the brakes but collided with the car.

The mother was killed in the crash and drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor. The man suffered minor injuries and is expected to be okay.

The crash is still under investigation.
