Hundreds mourn teen hit, killed by car in Hanford
For the second night in a row, hundreds of people gathered to mourn the death of a Hanford teenager killed last week.

HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- For the second night in a row, hundreds of people gathered to mourn the death of a Hanford teenager killed last week. Monday night's vigil at Sierra Pacific High School is where Nolan Eggert was just starting his sophomore year.

The California Highway Patrol says the 16-year-old rode his bike into an intersection and was hit by a car on Friday. The driver of the car is cooperating with investigators and was the first to call 911.

The CHP says Eggert was thrown from his bike when he rode into oncoming traffic. They also say he wasn't wearing a helmet at the time.
