Lockdown lifted at Northwest Fresno school after report of gun
Fresno police say a lockdown at Saroyan Elementary School has been lifted.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno police say a lockdown at Saroyan Elementary School was lifted Tuesday afternoon. The school is located in the area of Bullard and Polk avenues.

Police say a driver reported seeing a man with what looked like a gun. They say the person had a BB gun in front of his driveway, which looks very similar to a firearm.

All staff and students went into lockdown mode right before 2:30 p.m. as a precaution. The order to shelter in place was lifted after about half an hour when the house was cleared and deemed safe.
