Man charged in Fresno hit-and-run crash that killed veteran in wheelchair

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno man has been charged with manslaughter in a deadly hit-and-run crash.

Edgar Rueda, 21, was arrested late last week, several days after police say he struck and killed army veteran Jose Rodriguez in Central Fresno. The elderly man was crossing Cedar Avenue near Floradora Avenue on his wheelchair at the time.

Investigators say Rueda has admitted to taking off after the crash. He's scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
