Man dies after Southeast Fresno shooting

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in Southeast Fresno.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Fresno police received a 911 call from someone who heard gunfire on Winery Avenue near Laurel Avenue. Officers responded to the area and found a man with several gunshot wounds to his upper body lying on the roadway.

The man was pronounced dead a short time later. The coroner's office has identified him as 29-year-old Rontrell Craig.

Investigators with the Street Violence Section are working on this homicide case. They say the motive for the fatal shooting is still undetermined.
