Police investigators spent most of the day looking for clues to the crime and information about the victim.
"This is a sober living facility and the victim was in an upstairs apartment just to my right here, and died of stab wounds and it appears, overnight," said Lt. Joe Gomez, Fresno Police Department.
Police said the victim died a violent death.
His body was discovered by a friend who had come by to check on him.
Neighbor, Charles McVey, talked to Action News about the victim.
"Real nice guy, church going man. Real nice fella. We got along real well."
Action News was told the victim had recently moved to this location from another group home and was named the floor manager, and seemed to get along with everyone.
"He was a very, very, very, good guy. Never had one argument with him," said McVey.
Another friend of the victim told us a resident of the complex who had just moved in was missing, but police have not confirmed that statement.
They are asking the public for help in solving the case.
The victim's name won't be released until his family has been notified.
