Man involved in the shooting death of a farmer sentenced to 7 years
Fabian Mansanalez was sentenced to seven years in state prison for his involvement in the death of George Salwasser Junior.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fabian Mansanalez was sentenced to seven years in state prison for his involvement in the death of George Salwasser Junior. The 38-year-old farmer was shot and killed when he interrupted a pair of men trying to dismantle a stolen truck on his property.

Although he did not shoot Salwasser, Mansanalez was found guilty of stealing the car and initiating the chain of events leading to the shooting.

Jose Canas, the person police say actually shot Salwasser, will face his own murder trial later this fall.
