FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man is dead after the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said he crashed his motorcycle into the back of a car.
The crash happened just before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday near Fowler and Davis in Fresno County. CHP officers said the rider was wearing a helmet, but it was not DOT approved and flew off when his bike crashed, offering no protection.
Officers said the driver of the vehicle wasn't hurt, and is not facing any charges. The motorcycle rider died at the scene. His name has not been released.
